Wire rope is widely used in production and life, and is an important part of elevator, aviation, bridge cables, lifting machinery and other equipment. The fiber core in the steel wire rope mainly plays the role of supporting, reducing the pressure between the strands, lubricating, anti-corrosion and oil storage, and is an important material to improve the quality of steel wire rope products. The current ISO 4345 "steel wire rope fiber core" international standard was released in 1988, has been more than 30 years, the standard calculation formula parameters, detection methods can not meet the needs of the current actual use of fiber core, while the steel wire rope industry over the years of production process and technology progress, but also put forward new technical index requirements for fiber core standards. Such as water content, appearance quality requirements. The revision of this standard will improve the accuracy, scientificity and feasibility of the standard, meet the development needs of the industry, promote China's steel wire rope fiber core products and technical specifications to the world, promote industrial technology and international standards, and provide technical support for international trade of products.
As the domestic technical counterpart of ISO/TC105, the next step of the Information Standards Institute will strictly follow the ISO workflow and requirements, widely joint steel wire rope and related industries and research institutions, contact experts and representatives of various countries to join the standards working group, accelerate the promotion of standard research and preparation work, and contribute to the international standardization work in the field of steel wire rope.
